Work Location: Naval Base Ventura County, Pt Mugu, CA
Roles & Responsibilities:  Full Time position.
Applies learned technical knowledge to perform fabrication, assembly, soldering, repair, modification and installation of electrical components, PCBs, wiring harnesses, cables, wires, wiring assemblies and associated parts. Technician must have the technical knowledge to demonstrate a practical application of tools and techniques to assigned duties including the ability to perform acceptance tests and measurements on electronic components and assemblies.
The ability to perform soldering and knowledge of tools and equipment required to perform required functions.
This position received technical guidance as required from supervisor.
Work is reviewed for specific compliance with accepted practices in accordance with AISD QA and CM policies and procedures.
Technician may provide guidance to lower level technicians.
This position will support in the following areas: micro-electronics printed circuit boards (PCBs) fabrication, troubleshooting, rework, antenna fabrication and testing.
Perform had and machine soldering and assembly operations on printed circuit boards, connectors and terminals.
Remove, replace and rework defective or incorrect components on subassemblies and assemblies.
Build complex electrical harnesses according to drawings.
Perform functional testing using Automated Test equipment.

Specific Skills & tasking include but are not limited to:
Ability to solder wiring harness and electronics components.
Basic technical ability needed for equipment operations.
Follow written instructions and manufacturing process instructions including basic circuit diagrams.
Ability to follow production drawings and detailed work instructions that cover all assembly and test procedures, wither in written form or verbal technical guidance.

Work Conditions:   
Conditions will vary. 
Most work performed in enclosed buildings. 
Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching.  
Must be capable of lifting 50, 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

Work Schedule: Currently 9/80 schedule(Mon – Thurs 9 hours, alternating Friday, 1 work 8 hrs. 1 off)

Education/Experience/Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Technical school training or specialized training in the appropriate field required or a total of six (6) years’ experience in performing the stated functions may replace education.

Obtain current certification for IPC/EIA-J-STD 001, IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-7721.

Works well with others, strong communication skills, works well with others as a member of a team, customer service attitude.

U S Citizenship required and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret and maintain a DoD Interim Security clearance within 90 days of hire date and maintain clearance throughout employment.
