Work Location: NAWCAD Patuxent River, MD

Roles & Responsibilities: Full Time, Exempt position.

Analyzes project requirements in the areas of business management, financial management, program scheduling, milestone tracking, critical path analyses, and support requirements. Perform other related analyst/ management activities required for successful completion of required tasks. Applies knowledge of management functions, procurement, processes, ad analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by managers and customers. Assists with impact studies, cost/benefit analyses, dependency models, and project tracking methodologies to ensure the success and efficiency of assigned projects.

Specific Tasking:

  • Obtain financial schedule information from project leads & update AMODS database
  • Compile and track information for Engineering Change Requests for projects
  • Collect, format and maintain financial/ status data for reports and project reviews
  • Attend weekly meetings for large APSD projects, document minutes, track open actions and design changes
  • Assist project lead in tracking spending & recoveries on specific charge numbers
  • Assemble and submit biweekly project status report to branch head
  • Create and interpret organizational and project schedules using data from multiple sources.
  • Report schedules to branch and division heads
  • Convert complex schedules into simplified schedules for briefing

Work Conditions:  

Conditions will vary. Most work performed in enclosed buildings. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching.

Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.

Education/Experience/Skills:

BA or BS degree in Business, Management or Technical discipline.  

Minimum of 4 years’ experience performing the stated functions.

Following minimum skills & abilities with demonstrated experience:

At least 2 years of the individual’s stated total experience must include using associated DoD technical documentation and software media.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, and Microsoft Project.

Must have organizational skills and pay attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

U S Citizenship required. Must be granted an interim security clearance US DoD Security system prior to hire, and a final clearance must be maintained throughout employment.
