Roles & Responsibilities: Full Time Position

Functional Title: Electronic Technician/Electronic Warfare Systems Technician

The Electronic Technician (ET1) Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, calibration and repair of various types of electronic equipment requiring practical skill and be proficient at identifying malfunctioning equipment to its lowest repairable/replaceable level. Work involves a variety of the following duties: aligning/calibrating electronic equipment, replacing wires, cables and performing preventative maintenance, replacing electrical connectors, switches, fixtures, motors and working with computers to include; updating/installing programs, editing databases, working with peripheral devices, and printing documents. This list is not all inclusive and the technician’s primary responsibilities include performing general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs of electronics.

All site personnel will perform general maintenance and fire - fighting duties.

Work Conditions:

Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in an outdoor environment for extended periods in a tropical climate with associate humidity. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job demands will require physical dexterity and flexibility. Must be physically able to sit, stand, kneel and climb.

Overtime required at times to support operations.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS:

Associates degree in electronics field or certificate of completion from an accredited Technical school, or equivalent military technical training, and minimum 2-3 years’ experience.

Experience with military communications equipment and procedures.

Current Driver License.

US Citizenship required and ability to obtain at minimum an interim Secret security clearance prior to hire and be granted and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout employment.

FEMA, I-100 Introduction to the Incident Command System

FEMA, S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior

FEMA, S-130 Firefighter Training
